- Marcus has and intensely high knowledge base that he applies to
every project that he works on. He is continually adding to it to
become a highly valued asset. He has a high work ethic and a sense
of perfection that he brings with him to the office every day and
it definitely shows in his work. I have worked with him for years
and have no issues for a continued working relationship! He would
be a valued member of any team.

- I cannot put it any plainer than to say, "hire Marcus, pay him
what he wants, and get him on your team". You won't be disappointed.
I've known Marcus for many years and during that time he has consistently
stood out. He is a person with insight beyond his years, brimming
with technical talent he has only begun to tap, and has personal
passion for the games industry he has only started to spark. In
a short amount of time, he has shown real world potential and by
his own account, created his own identity as a technical games artist
which he then shared with the local games community. Get him on
your team.

- I first worked with Marcus Ghaly at Microsoft, where we shared
an office together on the "Mythica" project. Marcus showed an amazing
aptitude for adapting to the workflow and pipeline of the project
early on. He then went on to investigate solutions to technical
issues we were having, and present them in an organized fashion
to his teammates. Marcus seems to have a knack for grabbing hold
of new esoteric computer graphics technologies, such as real-time
shaders, figuring them out, finding new ways of using them, and
sharing that information with his coworkers in an easy to swallow
capsule. Marcus is also a very competent modeler and texture artist,
and as such can slip into a standard production artist role, as
well as a more technical artist position. Many things can be gleaned
from a portfolio and resume, so I will let Marcus's speak for itself.
What they don't show is whether one's personality will work well
with your team. Marcus's sense of humor is killer, which made him
one of the best coworkers I had the pleasure of sharing an office
with. His attitude is unshakable, even in the face of frustrating
office politics. Marcus's work ethic and motivation are top notch.
His high geek quotient and love of games, art, and technology, combined
with a natural conversational style with friends and strangers alike
(one might even call it "shmoozing") all make him someone to bring
along to meetings and conventions. I would unhesitantly recommend
Marcus as a great addition to any art team.
